Dancers Fight Cancer

We spent another weekend at a dance competition. This one was held in Twin Falls and benefits  Cancer. The girls did a great job!

Gracie and Abbey got 1 of the 3 Superiors given for the duets. And Abbey got a Superior on her solo. It was the very best I have ever seen her do it. She gets better every time. I am so proud of the girls. They love performing!

New Kitties

Roxy had four little kittens. It was quite an event at our house. Lucky for us they all have a home to go to when they get big enough.

Carter (my baby) is 4!

Carter John Andersen
arrived in Twin Falls Idaho at 2:08 PM on Monday, April 17th
He was 7lbs 12oz and 20 inches long
He had a rough crazy start at life. Since then he has continued to keep us all on our toes with his energy. Carter is ALL boy! He loves wrestling, playing ball, jumping in every water and mud puddle he sees. He loves riding on tractors, 4-wheelers, and the riding lawnmower with his dad. Carter also loves to give hugs and kisses. He also can sing and dance. Watch out world for this 4 year old to grow up :)
We left Utah very early on Carter's birthday to head to Idaho. Gramma took us to breakfast at Kneaders. It was a yummy way to start his day! Thanks Gramma!!
Lucky for me I have a great sister-in-law, Gwen, who once again let us celebrate Carter's birthday at her house. John had been playing at a basketball tournament and I was judging a Jr. Miss in Aberdeen. Lucky for Carter and Hilary, the best friends happen to be their cousins Wyatt and Lydia.

Baby Shower for Lindsay

The main reason we came to Utah was to give Lindsay a baby shower. Her and Brandon our moving to Idaho next week after BYU graduation. It was fun to meet her cute friends that wanting to wish her well. It was a good evening  We are excited for baby Grant!

Scera Park Singers

In fifth and sixth grade I got to participate in the Scera Park Singers. We practiced twice a week before school. We had matching dresses (that our mom's made). We performed all around. Miss Pattie Greaves, who was also my 5th grade teacher has done the Scera Park Singers for 40 years. She is about to retire and some friends of mine organized a suprise alumni  concert in her honor. Since I was already going Utah it worked out great for me. It was fun to see so many old childhood friends. Miss Greaves was very suprised. The great thing is, we remember the 5 songs that were chosen to sing. The newspapers and TV stations were there.

A friend of mine posted the coverage on Utah's Channel 4 news. I was on the clip alot. I also made the Deseret News article. This is the picture from the Deseret News April 17, 2010

Utah Dairy Show

Friday, April 16th we skipped school and drove to Utah for several things. We started our day by the Utah Dairy Show. Never in a million years did I think I would spend as much time as I do watching cows. Well, it's part of our family so we have to love it. That morning was suppose to be "Donuts for Dad" at the school. The girls were sad their dad couldn't go so they brought the donuts to him.
They were even Krispy Kreme's

Easter Morning

Easter was quiet and relaxing. Hilary set out some carrots and water for the Easter Bunny. She was happy to wake up to the treats gone and baskets left. We enjoyed watching conference.

Cute kids!!!

On Stage Dance competition

Easter/Conference weekend was spent in Idaho Falls at a dance competition. Even John and Carter sat through Friday night of solos/duos. Abbey and Gracie did a great job.  It is fun to watch the girls get better each time they perform. Our friends from American Falls were at this competition. It was fun to have them there and have more people cheering us on!!

Here are some of the girls from our studio waiting for awards Friday night. Abbey's solo and the girl's duet both took 2nd.
That night we stayed at the Kinghorn's house in Rigby. It was late when we got there but we still stayed up late chatting with Layne and Lannon. They are good friends and we miss them.
We woke up to a TON of snow!!! Yuck! John dropped Abbey, Gracie, and I off at the competition and then they went home.
Saturday was team day. Kiah is one of Gracie's cute instructors. Sydney Nauerabout is Gracie's buddy on X-Press. X-press improved alot over the week. I was proud of them.
