My Performers!

All the girls are in dance. Gracie and Hilary performed at the Festival of Trees and Abbey had a piano recital in one day. This week they all performed in the Christmas recital at CSI. This is Hilary's first year and is one of the youngest in her class but knew every step. She was our "Candy Cane". Gracie is a great performer and quite a perfectionist. Gracie was "Edith the Elf". Abbey performed twice. She did a ballet number to "Sleigh Ride" and the Team did a tap number to a "Rocking Reindeer". Don't tell John but Carter was doing an arabesque :) Right before the last number the instructor pushed the dancers back off stage and came to the mic. "Caroline Andersen, we need you to come to the stage. Your daughter needs you". I could see Gracie in the wings with her teacher. All the girls were lined up for the finale, when a irritated drama teacher came out and slammed the fire door...on Gracie's fingers. They got smashed pretty good.

Trying to get everyone to look at the camera!

It is a trial with four kids (not that adults are much better) to all look and smile at the camera. Usally you have to just take the best!

the Utah Flash

We went to a preseason Utah Flash basketball game that was played at Burley HS against the Idaho Stampede. They were fun to watch. John's cousin Brandt is the owner of the Flash. He got the kids shirts and the adults hats. I even might sing the National Anthem for a Flash game in Utah...come watch (I guess sometimes it pays to have connections)!!! We had a great, great time!!!

Halloween

This was a crazy Halloween with 3 school parties and dance parties. I went as a good witch again..thanks to the girls. Carter was a cuddly tiger. Hilary was a sparkling Tinker Bell. Gracie once again was Snow White (she likes me to straighten her hair). And Abbey was a radiant Belle. We made homemade rootbeer for school which was a hit with the kids. That night we had a Halloween party with Andersen cousins and went Trunk or Treating!

Big Guy- Little Guy

John and Carter are great buds. They even went matching to church!

Mini-Cheerleaders

I am coaching the Shoshone Varsity Cheerleaders this year. We had a mini-cheer clinic then the girls performed at a football halftime. I am not biased at all, but I think Abbey and Gracie were the best two out there!

Abbey & Gracie Win Poster Contest!~

Abbey and Gracie entered the poster contest for Bully Week at school. We were excited to find out they both won 1st place in their divisions. They each won a $10.oo gift certificate to the mall. We of course took a trip to Claire's and the girls went crazy!! Gracie's poster is her and her friends on mountain and it says, "Build Each Other Up". Abbey drew a whole crew of friends and wrote positive words on banners in the sky.

Rim to Rim Race 2007

I did the hard but beautiful 7 mile Rim to Rim race in Twin Falls. I ran some of the way with my friend Mindy Robertson. The girls, Carter, and John cheered me on.

Fun Times

Our yearly salsa making day. Hilary with her friend and cousin Lydia at the Fair.

First Day of School

Abbey is in 2nd grade, Gracie is in Kindergarten, and Hilary is in preschool. Carter loves wearing his dad's hats and knows where the "picture spot" is.

State Fair 2007

The State Fair in blackfoot is always a long week, but I guess we like doing it. Abbey took second place in the fitting and showing for the Jersey Show. In the Holstein show Abbey and Hilary(with John's help) both showed. Abbey took first place and won a show halter. The judge told her how great she did and that she was quite a showman. Hilary was just as happy winning her pencil. She smiled and looked at the judge the whole time. Abbey took 3rd in Grand Champion. Carter loved playing in the straw, pushing the shovel and broom and making sure he was filthy! Gracie enjoyed running around and running errands for people. We survived and am sure we'll be there next year.

YF&R Rodeo part 1

Hi everyone, this is actually Gwen posting this. I figured if Norma could do it, so could I (that's what happens when you share your password with family Care:). We had our annual state YF&R Rodeo today and I got some fun pictures of Carter and the girls, so I just thought I would share them with everyone else (plus Care's camera was broken so I know she didn't get any)

Abbey, getting ready for the muton bustin! (riding sheep)

...and there she goes!!!

Hilary and Lydia waiting for their turns

Hilary was very excited to have a turn, but she started screaming during the ride and was a little traumatized after. But about 15 minutes later I heard her ask Lydia if she wanted to do it again!!!

YF&R Rodeo part 2

Caroline & Carter: you can't tell very well in this picture, but he looked just like a baby calf sucking a bottle! It was pretty funny!!!

Lydia, Abbey, Gracie, & Hilary: all ready to party!!!

John trying to put on a bra during the Dolly Pardon relay race. He also had to put on a blond curly hair wig, fill the bra with water balloons, get back on the horse, and race back to the other end of the arena.

Caroline's job was to race down on the horse, bob for an apple, keep it in her mouth, and then race back. FYI: John, Caroline, and Greg were awesome. Gwen was not, so we lost the race!

Carter getting nice and dirty!

Pictures from Care's camera

Caroline brought her camera for me to down load temple pictures. I thought everyone would enjoy seeing some new pictures of their family. NORMA
