Abbey and the "So You Think You Dance" Stars

If you are a "So You Think You Can Dance" fan (like our family) then you will know Joshua. He was last years winner. Abbey got to go to a dance workshop over Christmas. Joshua, Will and Chelsea from the show taught the classes. They were amazing. I wished I had signed myself up :) ! Abbey had a great time and learned a lot. Joshua and Abbey

Trip to San Antonio

John and I got to go to San Antonio for four days. We went for the National Farm Bureau Convention because we were the YF&R Achievement Award winners. We were lucky to have Kari and AJ Kelsey stay the the kids while we were gone. I think they survived and the kids had a blast with them.
We enjoyed walking the famous River Walk and even took an informational boat tour. Texas is packed with wonderful restaruants...we enjoyed many!!! We had a chance to visit the Alamo. One day we ran over to the mall for a quick lunch between discussion meets. In walks Dwight Howard and another Orlando Magic baketball player. The Magic were playing the Spurs that night. After getting his food at Dairy Queen, he came and sat by us. I asked him if he would be in a picture with me. He was kind enough to say yes. He was very nice. Johon and I had a great time (as fun as you can sitting through farm meetings). Me and St. Antonio down on the River Walk.

John and Care on the River Walk.

Everything is bigger in Texas!! Check out my chicken salad!

Care and John in front of the convention stage. Our Idaho discussion meet winner took nationals...he won the Dodge!!!

Remember the Alamo?

Beautiful waterfalls all down the River Walk.

YF&R Achiever Award

John and I were Idaho's Young Farmer and Rancher Achiever Award winner this year. We are sitting on part of our prize. I also participated in the Discussiong Meet and almost brought another 4-wheeler home, but I got runner-up. I am still proud of myself....not bad for a city girl :) We get to go to San Antonio in January to the FB National Convention where we will represent Idaho. The kids love our prize. They enjoy riding around the yard!

Thanksgiving!!

We had a great Thanksgiving! We spent the day at the Andersen's with most of John's family. We always have the Thanksgiving Classic (ping pong) tournament. Ben was the champion again. Some of our family played football with another family. It was a beautiful day. we mostly enjoyed each other and the great food.
We have so much to be thankful for. We are finally living in our great new house, we have good health, John has a good job, and we have a great family and wonderful friends.

The Utah Flash!

We had a fun sports filled weekend. John got to watch Jerome in the State High School Football Championships in Pocatello. I enjoyed the sport of getting Twilight tickets on opeing night. My friend Barbara and I enjoyed all the teenage squeals and oohing! The next day we got to watch a very ugly BYU vs. UTAH game. We had to go to a hotel in Burley to get the game. It made it fun! Then we got to see the Utah Flash play the Idaho Stampede. The kids wore all their Flash gear and enjoyed being harassed by the Stampede Mascot.

Hilary, Rylee, Gracie, Abbey, Joelle and Lauren cheering at the game.

The girls with J.R. Giddons, from the Boston Celtics. They got autographs of all the players and thought it was great!
